RetroBlakesberg – Volume One, Issue 2: PUNK is a 90-page Zine presenting a dynamic look at some of Jay Blakesberg’s iconic photographs of punk musicians shot on film, blended with rare and gritty punk memorabilia. Beginning with images from his early days as a young photographer in the late 1970s through the height of the punk movement, this collection of photographs and keepsakes captures the raw energy, rebellion, and DIY ethos of the scene as documented by Jay. The photos and ephemera featured are carefully curated by Jay’s daughter, Ricki, who weaves a narrative connecting the underground punk culture of the past to its lasting influence on music, fashion, and attitude today—proving that the spirit of punk never died. This zine also features an introduction by Joey Cape of Lagwagon, further cementing its connection to punk’s enduring legacy.
